Our paper titled “Combined Effects of Hypocapnic Hyperventilation and Hypoxia on Exercise Performance and Metabolic Responses During the Wingate Anaerobic Test.” has been accepted by Int J Sports Physiol Perform.

Hello.

Dr. Dobashi (Hokkaido University of Education, Asahikawa), who is an alumnus of our laboratory, is the first author of the paper “Combined Effects of Hypocapnic Hyperventilation and Hypoxia on Exercise Performance and Metabolic Responses During the Wingate Anaerobic Test.” has been published in Int J Sports Physiol Perform. (International Journal of Sports Physiology and Performance).

This study reported that simultaneous hypocapnia caused by spontaneous hyperventilation and hypoxia prior to the Wingate test increases anaerobic metabolism without compromising exercise performance.

Congratulations, Dobashi Sensei!!
