We participated in the 78th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Physical Fitness Medicine.

Hello.

Dr. Tagawa, Dr. Katagiri (Research associates), Mr. Koike (1st year doctoral student), Ms. Sagawa (2nd year master’s student), Mr. Tomita , Mr. Hattori, Ms. Takahagi (1st year master’s student), and Mr. Uematsu (4th year undergraduate student) gave oral presentations at the 78th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Physical Fitness Medicine held at Saga University from September 2 to 4, 2024. Then, Dr. Fujii gave a young researcher lecture titled “Measures to Improve Athletic Performance Revealed by Evaluating Respiration. Although he did not give a presentation, Mr. Yamaji, a first-year master’s student, also participated. It was very stimulating to hear presentations not only in my own research field but also in various other fields. It was a very enjoyable conference!

I would like to do more research in the ministry from now on.

Below are the presentation titles and presentations.

Dr. Tagawa: Increase in aortic pulse pressure after strength exercise is suppressed by 10% of maximal muscle strength: Effect of pulse fraction augmentation coefficient

Dr. Katagiri: Effects of caffeine intake during exercise in hot weather on hyperthermia-induced hyperventilatory responses and per-fmance in the second half of exercise

Mr. Koike: Effects of combined inspiratory load and manual grip exercise on circulatory response and obliterating tissue oxygenation level

Ms. Sagawa: Effects of a decrease in arterial blood partial pressure of carbon dioxide on resting oculomotor responses

Mr. Tomita: Local warming and cooling suppresses the decrease in cutaneous vasodilation caused by prolonged sitting

Mr. Hattori: Effect of TRPA1 on cutaneous vasodilatory response during exercise in the heat

Mr. Uematsu: Effects of ice slurry ingestion before and between exercise on hyperthermia-induced hyperventilation and exercise performance during exercise in the heat

Ms. Takahagi: Effects of carbonated water ingestion on orthostatic stress between exercises in the heat
