Our paper titled “Effects of pre-exercise voluntary hyperventilation on metabolic and cardiovascular responses during and after intense exercise. and after intense exercise” has been accepted by Res Q Exerc Sport.

Hello.

Dr. Dobashi (Hokkaido University of Education, Asahikawa), who is an alumnus of our laboratory, is the first author of the paper “Effects of pre-exercise voluntary hyperventilation on metabolic and cardiovascular responses during and after intense exercise” has been published in Res Q Exerc Sport.

This study examined the effects of hypocapnia caused by voluntary hyperventilation prior to exercise on metabolic and cardiovascular responses during and after high-intensity exercise.  It has been reported that hyperventilation prior to exercise, causing  hypocapnia, decreases oxygen uptake during exercise.

Congratulations, Dobashi Sensei!!
